FAQs About the Talent Triad and Trailblazer Initiative

How Does the Talent Triad Work?

By layering skills and competencies into employer job descriptions as well as into student and job seeker Learning and Employment Records, the Talent Triad will more efficiently and effectively match employers to the right students and job seekers while also expanding the pipeline of available employees for employers and career opportunities for all Alabamians.

How is the Talent Triad Different from Other Job Boards?

There are multiple ways in which the Talent Triad goes above and beyond other job boards:

  • It was specifically designed to address increasing the labor force participation rate in Alabama.

  • It is working to validate the skills, credentials, certifications, and degrees Alabamians have earned by connecting directly with education, training, and licensure providers across the state.

  • A skills-based job description generator is a part of the solution to assist employers transition to skills-based hiring practices, while also being able to signal those certifications, credentials, degrees, and experiences when they are still required.

  • The Talent Triad is an interoperative system to ensure employers, jobseekers, students, education, and training providers are all “speaking the same language.”

  • Employers now have real-time opportunities to directly signal their needs for current and future jobs to the education and training providers across the state.

Is the Talent Triad Meant to Replace My Current Hiring Practices?

No.  The Talent Triad is meant to expand the opportunity for employers to be matched to a greater pipeline of jobseekers based on their skills, credentials, and experiences.  While the Talent Triad is also helping to validate those skills, credentials, and experiences for employers, the Talent Triad will continue to push those applicants to each employer’s application process.

Can My Employees Also Participate?

Yes, we encourage that your employees sign up as well to receive their digital wallets and begin to better track and validate their earned skills, credentials, and experiences so as an employer you can also better understand the opportunities to upskill and promote from within to help in filling open positions and/or new business expansion models.

Is There a Cost?

No, the Alabama Talent Triad is free for students, jobseekers, employers, and education & training providers to participate.

As an Employer, I Have Training Programs for My Employees That I Want to Promote To Potential Job Seekers. Can We Also Be an Education and Training Provider Within the Talent Triad?

Yes.  We would appreciate working with your organization to include and promote your training programs to current and/or future employees.

I Have Feedback For Features and Functionality That are Important to My Organization and Industry. Can I Get Those on the Talent Triad Roadmap?

Yes. We are encouraging employers and partners across the state to meet with the EBSCO team to provide your feedback.  The Talent Triad has been built to support Alabama.  The solution has and will continue to evolve based on the valuable feedback we continue to get.
